North Dakota Publishes Every Fee It Charges

North Dakota registered agent service at a flat $99 per year. Physical address, scanned legal mail, compliance alerts. Renewals stay the same price.

North Dakota cityscape

One rule governs this page and it belongs before anything else. No renewal figure gets attributed to Inc Authority anywhere below, in any form, because none appears in public and a competitor's estimate would be worth nothing to you. ND Registered Agents.org publishes this page, sells the same appointment for $99 a year, and would like your business.

North Dakota Tells You Everything, Years in Advance

Open the Century Code chapter governing registered agents in this state and the numbers are simply sitting there. Ten dollars for a statement of change. Fifty dollars for the LLC annual report, and fifty more if it lands late. One hundred thirty-five to create the company in the first place. Even the address requirement is spelled out rather than implied: § 10-01.1-04 asks for a real North Dakota street address, or else a rural route box number, and a mailing address inside the state as well whenever it differs from the first one.

None of that requires a phone call, an account, or a checkout screen to discover. Somebody can budget a decade of North Dakota compliance from public documents in an afternoon.

That standard is the yardstick for the rest of this page.

Inc Authority Tells You About Year One

Order a formation from Inc Authority and a full year of agent service comes attached to it at zero cost. That is real, it is not a trick, and for a business in its opening year it lands at the moment money is tightest. Credit where it is owed.

Year two is where the public record stops. There is no published renewal price for Inc Authority's registered agent service. We are not going to guess at one and we are not going to characterize what it might be. In this industry a price that appears nowhere on a website generally surfaces at a checkout screen or in a phone conversation, but that is a pattern in the market rather than a documented fact about this company, and it deserves to be read as exactly that much.

The objection does not depend on the number anyway. North Dakota requires an agent named on the record for every year the entity exists. You are being asked to take on a recurring obligation while one of its two prices is unavailable to you.

Our Second Year, Printed Right Here

Ninety-nine dollars, the same as our first. It buys a North Dakota street address that satisfies the requirement described above, service of process scanned and emailed the day it arrives, portal access to your whole document history, and a reminder before the November 15 report deadline. Non-legal mail scanning is available at $15 per item, and with that the list of things we can bill you for is finished.

Cheapest is a word we avoid. BetterLegal's $90 sits under our $99, so somebody in this market does publish a lower rate. Ours is at the low end of what North Dakota buyers get quoted, and, more to the point of this page, both of ours are in print.

Ten Dollars, and You Are Out

Ten dollars, a statement of change, and one session inside FirstStop is the whole procedure. The screens are covered on our change of agent page.

Because the change is effective at filing, coverage passes across in a single instant, provided the incoming agent is already signed up when you submit. That is the only sequencing rule here: arrange the replacement, then file.

Whenever Inc Authority quotes you a renewal, you will be weighing it against two figures you already know: ours, which is $99, and North Dakota's, which is $10 to act. That is a comfortable position to negotiate from, and it costs nothing at all to put yourself in it early.
